The Ukrainian – Lebanese pianist Tatiana Primak Khoury began her concert career in her native Ukraine before extending her activities to concerts in Europe, America and the Middle East. A laureate of national and international piano competitions in Ukraine, she graduated with honors at Kiev Lysenko Special Music School in 1991 followed by a master’s degree at the Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music in Kiev, 1996. In 1998 she moved to Lebanon and since then has been committed to expanding the boundaries of traditional repertoire constantly searching and adding new Contemporary pieces such as works by Ovchinnikov, Rautavaara, Saygun, Roxanna Panufnik and many others to her growing repertoire and devoting her interest to performing rarely heard works by Ukrainian and Lebanese composers such as Lyatochinsky, Ishenko, Kolodub,Lysenko,Kosenko, Skorik, Stankovich, Liashenko, Anis Fuleihan,Toufic Succar,Georges Baz,Bechara El Khoury, Houtaf Khoury, Abdallah Masri, and Gabriel Yared , in addition to ther major repertoire. Married to Lebanese composer Houtaf Khoury, she has given several premieres of his piano works including his Piano concerto N.1 with the Ukrainian National Orchestra in 1996, Piano concerto N.2 “ Angel of Light” with the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra in 2012, three piano sonatas and other works. She released several CD albums with various classical and contemporary piano works. Her recent (November 2016)cd, produced in collaboration with Bavarian Radio and released by international label “Grand piano” was dedicated to solely Lebanese piano music and received high praise of music critics Worldwide. Tatiana Primak Khoury serves as an Artist-In-residence at the University of Balamand and teaches at the National Lebanese Conservatory of Music.
